We are excited to announce that we are currently drawing up plans to refurbish the popular children’s playground – a safe space with new equipment and a new surface. This is the first phase of a larger project that aims to also renovate the Multi-Use Games area and the carpark. We are currently seeking input from users of the playground – please can you fill out our short survey.
As some of you may know, the Children’s Playground and Sports Facilities are managed by the Trustees. Their running costs and maintenance are funded by profits from the hire of the Village Hall or donations. We are working hard on grant fundraising BUT we also need to ask for your support.
We have obtained matched funding (£5,000) from the Greenham Trust as a start and are looking into further grants. Grants are more likely to be obtained when they see that the local community is also contributing- whether that be directly or by attending fund raising events held at the hall.
